One tap on the bolt and the feed deals rounds back to back: three choices, a fast clock, and a streak to keep alive.

01

Word rounds

A word you have seen, three meanings, a few seconds on the clock. Getting one wrong never touches your progress.

02

Sentence rounds

A real sentence with the word blanked out; pick the word that completes it. Vocabulary proves itself in context.

03

Yours to tune

Quiz the words you have glanced or your whole deck, set each kind's clock, and let rounds speak themselves as they arrive.

The details
a learner notices

01

Words that travel together

Spanish runs on collocations and set phrases. The deck treats them as first-class cards, each one confirmed against the dictionary, so you learn the combinations people actually say.

02

A curriculum, calibrated

Words come from the Plan Curricular del Instituto Cervantes, the reference syllabus for Spanish as a foreign language. Our own CEFR calibration decides when you meet each one, so beginner packs hold the words beginners actually use.

03

Words in sentences

Every card carries a real sentence that uses the word, with its translation, so vocabulary lives in context instead of isolation. No new script to decode, and it reads the same in Spain or Latin America.

04

Nothing collected

No accounts, no tracking, notifications opt-in. Everything lives on your device.

05 · Lock&Learn+

Every level opens with a free preview. Plus opens them all.

Another word unlocks each day at no cost. Lock&Learn+ opens every CEFR level at once, so the widget can walk you from A1 to C2.

How do I put Spanish flashcards on my iPhone Lock Screen?

Install Lock&Learn Spanish, then touch and hold your Lock Screen, tap Customize, tap the widget area, and choose Lock&Learn Spanish. A Spanish word or expression will wait there every time your screen wakes. There is a Home Screen widget too.

What kind of Spanish does Lock&Learn Spanish teach?

Standard Spanish, the kind taught in language schools. What you learn is understood across Spain and Latin America.

Which levels does Lock&Learn Spanish cover?

Every CEFR level, from A1 to C2. Vocabulary is organized by level, so you can start where you are and let the widget carry you up. A1 is free.

Is Lock&Learn Spanish free?

Yes. The app is free on iOS: A1 is free, every other level opens with a free preview, and another word unlocks daily. Lock&Learn+ is an optional upgrade that opens every level at once, offered as a yearly plan with a free trial or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Does it teach whole expressions or just single words?

Both. Spanish runs on collocations and set phrases, so they appear as cards alongside single words, each one confirmed against the dictionary.

Does every word come with an example sentence?

Yes. Every card carries a short Spanish sentence that puts the word to work, with its English translation, so you meet the word in context instead of alone on a card.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts and no tracking. Streaks, saves and progress live on your phone and nowhere else, and notifications are opt-in. More in the Privacy Policy or on the Support page.
