This policy covers every Lock&Learn app: trivia, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Spanish. They are built so that your data stays yours. The short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and nothing about how you use the app. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is a purchase receipt, checked anonymously so your unlock stays valid.
The Lock&Learn apps have no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics about how you use them. Everything an app knows, such as which topics or levels you enabled, which facts or words you saved, and your streak, is stored on your device and shared only with that app’s own widgets through Apple’s App Group storage. It never leaves your phone. The one exception is a purchase, described below.
If you turn on notifications for new questions or words, they are scheduled locally on your device. No push servers are involved, and they stay off unless you enable them.
If you choose to request a new topic, the app opens your own email app with a pre-filled draft. Sending it is up to you, and the email arrives like any ordinary email you would write yourself.
Lock&Learn+ purchases, whether the yearly plan or the lifetime unlock, are charged by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details, and buying does not create an account with us. To confirm a purchase is genuine and keep it unlocked, the apps use RevenueCat, a subscription service that receives your App Store receipt, a random identifier the app makes up for itself, and basic device information such as the iOS and app version. None of this is linked to your name, email or Apple ID, none of it is used for advertising or tracking, and it is what makes Restore Purchases work on a new device. RevenueCat also gives us aggregate purchase reporting, such as how many people subscribe and how many stay, which Apple’s App Privacy label counts as analytics; it cannot be traced back to you. That label therefore lists a single data type for these apps, Purchase History, used for app functionality and analytics, not linked to your identity and not used for tracking. The Lock&Learn apps do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
