01

Hangul first, romanized

Every word shows its hangul with Revised Romanization right under it, so you can sound it out from day one.

02

Words in sentences

Real examples with romanization and translation, so vocabulary lives in context instead of isolation.

03

Graded the honest way

Beginner packs follow the official TOPIK I lists. TOPIK II publishes no word lists, so higher packs follow the exam's grade bands, split by frequency.

04

Nothing collected

No accounts, no tracking, notifications opt-in. Everything lives on your device.

05 · Lock&Learn+

Every pack opens with a free preview. Plus opens them all.

How do I put Korean flashcards on my iPhone Lock Screen?

Install Lock&Learn Korean, then touch and hold your Lock Screen, tap Customize, tap the widget area, and choose Lock&Learn Korean. A TOPIK word with its romanization will wait there every time your screen wakes. There is a Home Screen widget too.

Which TOPIK levels does Lock&Learn Korean cover?

Vocabulary runs from beginner to advanced. The beginner packs follow the official TOPIK I word lists; because TOPIK II levels are awarded by exam score rather than official word lists, the higher packs follow the exam’s intermediate and advanced grade bands. Beginner 1 is free.

Is Lock&Learn Korean free?

Yes. The app is free on iOS: Beginner 1 is free, every other pack opens with a free preview, and another word unlocks daily. Lock&Learn+ is an optional upgrade that opens every pack at once, offered as a yearly plan or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Does it teach pronunciation?

Revised Romanization appears under every word on the widget and everywhere in the app, so you can say each word out loud before the meaning is revealed. Pronunciation is never a guess.

How is this different from a regular flashcard app?

There is no session to sit down for. The word waits on the screen you already look at dozens of times a day, you recall it before you tap, and the meaning arrives with a real example sentence. Learning happens in the seconds you were going to spend anyway.

Is Lock&Learn Korean a Korean vocabulary flashcards app?

In the way that matters, yes: every TOPIK word is a two-sided card, hangul and romanization on the front, meaning and a real sentence on the back. The difference is where the cards live: on your Lock Screen widget, one at a time, and in quiz mode. The full TOPIK word lists are also free to read on this site.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts and no tracking. Streaks, saves and progress live on your phone and nowhere else, and notifications are opt-in. More in the Privacy Policy or on the Support page.
